Carmelo Anthony was introduced on Tuesday because the inaugural winner of the NBA’s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award.

The Portland Path Blazers ahead was chosen for the award amongst fellow finalists Tobias Harris, Jrue Vacation, Harrison Barnes and Juan Toscano-Anderson.

Abdul-Jabbar introduced the award on TNT Tuesday on a video name with Anthony.
